ICC Foundation

Since 1968, the ICC Foundation has been dedicated to raising funds for scholarships that recognize exceptional leadership, academic excellence, and community service among students at Independence Community College. These scholarships aim to support students with unmet financial needs, empowering them to pursue their educational goals.

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation operating under Kansas law, the ICC Foundation operates independently from Independence Community College, both financially and organizationally. Each year, the foundation contributes $130,000 to ICC specifically for student scholarships, ensuring that deserving students receive the necessary financial support to pursue their studies.

To further expand the availability of scholarships, the ICC Foundation organizes various fundraising events. These events not only aim to raise funds but also serve to enhance the scholarship programs offered by the foundation. While endowments and planned gifts provide future funding sources for the foundation, the funds raised through events allow for immediate financial assistance to be provided to ICC Foundation scholarship recipients.

The ICC Foundation is deeply grateful to the college's supporters and friends who contribute to its mission of helping ICC students achieve their educational aspirations. Their generosity and support make a tangible difference in the lives of students, helping them overcome financial barriers and reach their full potential.
