Consolidated Management Company Endows Scholarship Through ICC Foundation

Delivering healthy food options to the community has always been a priority for Consolidated Management Company of Des Moines, Iowa. The company currently serves as the primary food vendor to the ICC Main Campus.

Understanding that student needs go beyond dining services, Consolidated Management Company established The Consolidated Management Company Endowed Scholarship Fund, going to a full-time student in financial need.

“Consolidated Management was founded in 1975 as a niche player providing food service to community colleges in the Midwest,” explained Wendy Silver, Chief Business Services Officer at Consolidated Management Company. “As an advocate for education in general and specifically Independence Community College, we are delighted to support the scholarship endowment fund. We appreciate the value an ICC education offers its students in attaining their goals.”

The scholarship also requires the student to be involved in a co-curricular activity alongside their studies. The student must be active in an activity or athletic program on campus. Scholarship recipients also must arrive with and maintain a 2.5 GPA.

The Independence Community College Foundation will facilitate the scholarship.

“The College is incredibly thankful to Consolidated Management Co. for their dedication in making Independence Community College stronger,” said Dr. Vincent Bowhay, ICC President. “Their generosity has already had a positive impact on our students.”
