Athletic Training

The program is designed to provide students with theory and practice in the Athletic Training profession.  ICC Athletic Training Program currently serves 7 intercollegiate sports teams, including our cheer and dance groups.  Since its inception, the Athletic Training Program offers a broad spectrum of injury management for student-athletes and an academic experience for athletic training students. The ICC Athletic Training Program is complimented by ICC course offerings related to sports medicine and athletic training.  This coursework, coupled with hands-on experience in the athletic training room, provide the student an educational arena in which to prosper academically, and affords ample opportunities for learning in the areas of injury management, such as prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and athletic training room protocol. The Athletic Training Program at ICC enhances student marketability and increases the potential for transfer to accredited colleges and universities.  The hands-on lab experience is invaluable for those hoping to get involved in the healthcare or athletic fields!

The ICC Athletic Training Program provides quality instruction and clinical education in Athletic Training and supports the discipline of sports medicine through education, scholarly activity and service in the areas of prevention, clinical evaluation and diagnosis, immediate care, treatment, rehabilitation and reconditioning of injury, organization, administration and professional responsibility.
