Independence Community College (ICC) Esports teams are celebrating a series of impressive performances, with all four Fortnite teams qualifying for the prestigious Playfly Grand Finals. Competing against over 100 colleges nationwide, three ICC teams finished in the top 25, securing their place among the nation’s best.

Fortnite Results:

  • Saxton Renfro and Tyson Martinez placed #13 in the Grand Finals.
  • Brandon Long and Tucker Gregory placed #20 in the Grand Finals.
  • James Linck and Logan Holmes placed #25 in the Grand Finals.
  • Isaiah Pollard, competing solo, placed #32 in the Grand Finals — an extraordinary achievement as the only player to qualify without a teammate.

In addition to Fortnite, ICC's Overwatch team triumphed with a 3-0 victory against Barton Community College, bringing their record to 2-0 in NJCAA competition this semester.

Other ICC Esports Highlights:

Smash Ultimate: Nihle Davidson holds a strong 4-1 record, placing him 2nd in the Central Division for NJCAA.
Overwatch, Call of Duty, and Rainbow Six will play extra matches this week due to last week’s rescheduling.

The ICC Esports program continues to show its strength and competitiveness across multiple platforms, and these achievements further solidify its reputation in collegiate esports.
