Independence, Kansas—February 3, 2017—Independence Community College (ICC) is pleased to announce the addition of Meagan Moore, who will join the William Inge Center for the Arts as Special Projects Coordinator for the Inge Festival. As such, Moore will be responsible for the preparation and development of the annual William Inge Theater Festival.

Moore is a former ICC theater student and says that the college of Fine Arts feels like home to her.

“It really stole my heart,” Moore said. “It’s a marvelous blessing to be able to be present again and help facilitate the organization of the Inge Festival.”

After ICC, Moore attended Stephens College and then completed her Bachelor of Arts in psychology with a minor in communication from Pittsburg State University. For the last six years, Moore has worked in the case management department at Four County in Independence.

In addition to her educational and professional experience, Moore has been involved locally in the theater. She has spent several years participating in community theatrical productions both onstage and backstage. Most recently, she portrayed Ariel in the Neewollah production of “The Little Mermaid.”

Moore currently lives in Cherryvale with her husband, Alex, and daughter, Evie.

The 36th annual Inge Theater Festival is set for April 19-22. For more information or details about this year’s festival, visit www.ingecenter.org.
