In collaboration with the ICC Foundation, the Independence Community College (ICC) Cosmetology Department is pleased to announce, "Dads and Dos," a free event designed to give fathers and their children a fun and engaging experience at Salon West.
The event will take place on May 7th at 6:00 PM at Salon West, located on the ICC campus.
"Dads and Dos" offers a unique opportunity for fathers to bond with their children while learning basic hairstyling and manicure techniques from the talented students and instructors of the ICC Cosmetology Department. Participants will enjoy tutorials on braiding, ponytails, and mini manicures, followed by a hands-on session where they can practice these new skills with guidance from the cosmetology team.
Snacks will be provided for all attendees.
"We're thrilled to offer this special Daddy-Daughter night, where dads can learn fun and practical skills like braiding, ponytails, and mini manicures,” explains Chelsea Bailey, Director of Cosmetology at ICC. “It's a fantastic opportunity for them to bond with their daughters while picking up a new skill set that will undoubtedly come in handy!"
Cody Oates, Executive Director for the ICC Foundation, added, "The ICC Foundation is committed to supporting initiatives that strengthen community bonds and provide unique learning experiences. We are proud to support the Cosmetology Department in hosting this event."
