Esports Teams Achieve Success in Playfly and NJCAA Leagues

The Pirate Esports teams are off to a strong start this semester, competing in both the Playfly national collegiate esports league and the NJCAA Esports division. The teams have earned several key victories in recent matches, showcasing their skills against top-tier competitors from across the country.

In the Playfly League:

ICC's Overwatch team secured a crucial win against Stephen F. Austin University, bringing their Playfly record to 2-2 for the semester. Match link here.

The Call of Duty team triumphed over the University of Central Florida (UCF) with a 3-1 victory, making their Playfly record 2-0. Additionally, the team finished the NJCAA season undefeated. Match link here.

The Smash Ultimate team defeated Louisiana State University (LSU) 2-0, improving their Playfly record to 3-2. In the NJCAA, ICC student Nihle Davidson has an impressive 5-1 record in one-on-one matches, tying him for 2nd place among all community college and 2-year students in the Central Region of the U.S. Match link here.
