The Independence Community College (ICC) Board of Trustees is officially commencing the search for a new President to lead the institution into the future. The Board seeks a visionary leader who will guide ICC with a continued commitment to academic excellence, student success, and community engagement.

Dr. Cynthia Sherwood, Chair of the Board of Trustees, expressed the Board's enthusiasm for this crucial step: "On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I am excited to announce the official commencement of our search for a new President. This is a pivotal time for ICC, and we are committed to finding a leader who will continue to uphold the values of our institution as we celebrate 100 years of educational impact."

A 15-member Presidential Search Advisory Committee has been formed to ensure a thorough and inclusive search process. The committee will oversee a national search to appoint the next President by the Fall 2025 semester.

Information and documents regarding search process will be shared with the ICC community and the public through the dedicated Presidential Search page on the College's website.
