ICC proudly announces that Taylor Crawshaw, Vice President for Academic Affairs, along with her husband Alfred and their children, Henry and Harlow, have been honored as one of the 2024 Farm Families of the Year by the Kansas Farm Bureau. This prestigious recognition celebrates families who actively participate in Farm Bureau programs, engage in family activities, demonstrate a commitment to improving their communities, and exhibit exemplary farm and ranch operation management.

Cultivating Community: The Crawshaw Way

The Crawshaw family has been an integral part of the Wilson County Farm Bureau since 2016, with Taylor holding key leadership roles, including President and Vice President. The family operates a diversified farm, cultivating soybeans and corn and raising British White cattle. They are known for their involvement in organizing community events, such as the county pedal pull and a membership dinner preceding the county rodeo. Their dedication extends beyond the local level, with active participation in state leadership programs and representation on the state Young Farmers & Ranchers (YF&R) committee for District 3.

Taylor Crawshaw expressed her gratitude, saying, "Kansas Farm Bureau has provided Alfred and me with the us the platform to connect with our local community, advocate for the agricultural industry, and engage with leaders at the state and national levels. We've made lifelong friends while advocating, learning and serving.”

The Crawshaws' passion for agriculture and community involvement underscores their belief in fostering strong communication and relationships within the agricultural sector. They advocate for embracing diversity to build a united, active voice within the Farm Bureau community.
