Fab Lab ICC is thrilled to announce the launch of its first-ever Welding, Entrepreneurship, and Manufacturing Camp, partially funded by the NBTFoundation along with generous contributions from local individuals, donors, and businesses. Scheduled from June 3rd to June 6th, 2024, this innovative camp aims to provide hands-on learning experiences in welding and entrepreneurship while fostering creativity and skill development among students.

The camp, organized by the Spark Squad at Fab Lab ICC, will immerse participants in a dynamic curriculum designed to explore the intricate art of welding and ignite entrepreneurial spirit. Under the theme of welding, students will engage in a project crafted by the esteemed Trevor Rinne, offering them an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to practical, real-world scenarios.

Moreover, the camp will dedicate twenty percent of its schedule to entrepreneurship curriculum, empowering students with essential skills and knowledge to pursue their business ventures confidently. As an additional highlight, participants will enjoy an exclusive tour of Cessna, providing them with valuable insights into the manufacturing industry and potential career pathways.

David Staton, FabLab ICC Manager, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "We are excited to offer this unique camp experience to our community's youth. Through hands-on learning and exposure to diverse facets of welding and entrepreneurship, we aim to inspire the next generation of innovators and industry leaders."

Laura Schaid, FabLab Program Coordinator, highlighted the availability of scholarships, encouraging interested individuals to reach out for more information. "We believe in ensuring access to quality education for all. Scholarships are available, and we encourage students to seize this opportunity," Schaid remarked.
