The ICC Board of Trustees unanimously voted to appoint Dr. Jonathan Sadhoo as interim president of Independence Community College (ICC), effective May 15th. This decision follows the resignation of president, Dr. Vincent Bowhay announced this February.

Dr. Sadhoo brings a wealth of experience and a steadfast commitment to our institution's mission," said Dr. Cynthia Sherwood, ICC Board of Trustee Chair. "We are confident that under his leadership, we will continue to thrive and uphold our dedication to excellence in education."
Dr. Jonathan Sadhoo is an experienced higher education leader that has served ICC as the Vice President for Administration & Finance and Chief Financial Officer since 2019. While in that role he over saw Athletics, Business Office, Campus Housing, Campus Store, Commercial/Business Legal Counsel, Food Service, Information Technology, Physical Facilities and Maintenance, Risk Management and Commercial Liability, Student Financial Aid, and serves as the College Treasurer.
During his time at ICC, he has been a key player in spearheading several key building improvements, initiating a new student records system and campus wide security initiatives.
Previously working at Parker University and Tulsa Community College, and with over ten years of experience in various finance and operations roles in higher education, Dr. Sadhoo brings a unique knowledge base and skillset to the institution.
Dr. Sadhoo has lived throughout the United States and abroad, which allows him to bring a unique perspective to the college. He takes pride in investing in our students, staff, faculty, and community.
“I am humbled and honored to serve as ICC’s Interim President as our Board of Trustees determines next steps for a long-term organizational blueprint,” said Sadhoo. “My goal is to foster partnerships in both the local and campus communities to address opportunities for improvement, establish future sustainability, and ensure the continued success of our students. Dr. Sadhoo earned an International Baccalaureate Diploma from the École Internationale de Nice (Nice, Côte d’Azur, France), Bachelor of Science in Business and Leadership, with a focus in Finance & Accounting, from Northeastern University (Boston, MA), Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from Northeastern University (Boston, MA), and Doctor of Education in Higher Education Policy and Leadership from the University of New England (Biddeford, ME).
In their spare time, Jonathan and his fiancée, India, like to travel and spend time with their three children.
