The Community Chorale is set to welcome the impending summer season with a diverse repertoire. Audiences will be treated to a rendition of the medieval English canon "Sumer Is Icumen In," juxtaposed with contemporary works such as Jacob Narverud's "Ad Astra" and Kyle Peterson's tender interpretation of the traditional Irish Blessing, "God Be With You 'Til We Meet Again."

"We are thrilled to bring together these talented musicians and performers to showcase the rich tapestry of American music," said Brandon Halberg, Associate Professor of Instrumental Music. "This concert promises to be an unforgettable experience for all who attend."

The ICC Orchestra will also take the stage, offering a wide-ranging selection of musical delights. From the exhilarating overture of Joseph Bologne's opera "L'Amant Anonyme" to the enchanting melodies of Howard Shore's compositions from "Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers," the orchestra promises a journey through various musical landscapes. A highlight of the performance will be a collaboration with esteemed guest artist Dr. Timothy Jones, Assistant Professor of Violin at Wichita State University and Associate Concertmaster with the Wichita Symphony Orchestra.  Dr. Jones's exquisite performance of Beethoven's Romanze in F Major Op. 50 is sure to be a standout moment of the afternoon.
