Independence Community Invited to Join Community Chorale

ICC Community Chorale

ICC is excited to extend an open invitation to the Independence community to join the ICC Community Chorale. Singing together is a fundamental human artistic expression, and the ICC Community Chorale offers a welcoming and enjoyable environment for individuals of all levels of experience.

Led by Bridget Carson, of ICC, the Community Chorale rehearses every Thursday from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM in Fine Arts 122 on the ICC campus. Whether you're a seasoned vocalist or a beginner looking to explore the joy of singing, all are welcome to join this vibrant musical community.

This semester, the ICC Community Chorale is preparing for two exciting concerts that celebrate the spirit of spring. The March concert will feature settings of poems by renowned authors such as Willa Cather, Langston Hughes, and Ernest Lawrence Taylor, along with an arrangement of a traditional springtime Japanese Folk Song. The May concert will showcase works by living composers Philip Riegle, Jacob Narverud, and Kyle Pederson, as well as an ancient round in Middle English, "Sumer is Icumen In."

Join us as we come together to create beautiful music and celebrate the joy of singing. Don't miss this opportunity to be part of something special in our community!
