Independence Community College Theatre Department is holding open auditions for the Fall lineup of the 2023/2024 Theatre Season. Auditions will be held on Wednesday, August 16th from 5 PM - 7 PM in the William Inge Theatre.

To audition, prospective actors are asked to prepare a 1-minute comedic monologue that showcases their skills and comedic timing. Callbacks will take place on the same day, so participants should be prepared to read the script as well. Sides from the productions will be displayed in the lobby for reference.

The first production of the season is "THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE (abridged) [revised]" by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, and Jess Winfield. This fast-paced and side-splitting performance condenses all of Shakespeare's plays into one entertaining show, guaranteed to make audiences of all ages laugh with its witty writing and energetic performances.

Followed by Richard Wilbur's translation of Moliere's timeless classic "TARTUFFE," a comedic masterpiece filled with satire, wit, and amusing situations. It provides actors with an excellent opportunity to shine in this delightful play.
