Price is Right Financial Literacy Event on April 28

Independence Community College will be hosting the annual ‘Price is Right’ Financial Literacy Event on April 28 at 10:00 a.m., in the William Inge Theatre. High school students are invited to learn about college and personal finances in a fun and interactive format. Admission is free, and students are encouraged to show up in school apparel (high school or prospective college).

“Paying for college can be an expensive and intimidating process,” explains Laura Allison, Director of Financial Aid. “Educating students about all of their financial aid options is a great way to reduce stress and help families make sound financial decisions in the future.”

Contestants from each school will submit price estimates on various baskets full of common everyday items. The player who bids closest to the actual retail price of that basket without going over moves on to the next round.

Counselors RSVP to Chris Cameron at ccameron@indycc.edu.
