Auditions for the ANNA PLAYS on March 8

Auditions will be held on Wednesday, March 8th from 7:30 PM – 8:30 PM in the William Inge Theatre on the campus of Independence Community College.  If you are interested in auditioning, please arrive by 7 PM.  All people will be reading from the scripts.  If you have an questions, please feel free to reach out to Paul Molnar at pmolnar@indycc.edu

 

THE SKYLESS SUN by Isha Hill
Directed by Jackson Horning

SEEKING:
David: Male, teen – mid-twenties, sits with his wife as he struggles to find meaning.
Linda: Female, teen – mid-twenties, longing for a better life, she contemplates their past.
Ruth: Female, ageless, a savior.

“On a dark rainy beach, a couple sits along the shore.  Through grief, sadness and codependency Linda discovers how to function on her own.”

Host: late 20s – early 30s, Male, calm, authoritative presence.  Holds himself in a militaristic style.
Passer-by: 20’s, male, frantic energy, analytical, good under pressure.
Constant: 20s, male, hidden anxiety, masked emotions, quick to break.

SEEKING:
Angela: Female, reads early 20’s, a sweetheart with a bitter edge when it comes to rejecting her male advancers.
Karen: Male/female, reads early 20s, flamboyant, sarcastic, comedic relief.
David: Male, min-late 20s, a hopeless romantic, that wants to find love, but is searching in all the wrong ways.

“A romantic twist on a love story; this dark comedy, introduces you to Angela, a young woman who prefers murder over rejection.  However, this time her baggage does not go unnoticed.”
