The play is set in Messina and revolves around two romantic pairings that emerge when a group of soldiers arrive in the town. The first, between Claudio and Hero, is nearly altered by the accusations of the villain, Don John. The second romance, between Claudio's friend Benedick and Hero's cousin Beatrice, takes center stage as the play goes on, with both characters' wit and banter providing much of the humor. The title's play on words references the secrets and trickery that form the backbone of the play's comedy, intrigue, and action.

“Shakespeare's MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING is one of his best,” explains Paul Molnar, Director. “A comedy that highlights resistant lovers, foiled plots, rapier wit, and a bumbling group of watchmen that somehow save the day.  This play is rich with passion and will delight even the most skeptical of Shakespeare lovers.”

Molnar has assembled a cast of 22 actors, Joel Williams, Associate Professor of Technical Theatre leads a design and tech crew of 4 to bring this story to life.
