Fab Lab ICC to Hold Open House on November 15

ICC invites the community and surrounding areas to the Fab Lab Open House on November 15 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Events will take place in the Fab Lab; admission is free.

“We invite you to see the Midwest’s biggest small-town maker space,” said Tim Haynes, Fab Lab Manager. “We will feature machine demonstrations and tours!” Staff will give live equipment demos throughout the day, and those in attendance can explore new tools like the laser engraver, 3D printers, and more.

The Fab Lab is an open, collaborative, capacity-building maker space. Serving the ICC Campus and surrounding community, Fab Lab ICC provides direct access to fabrication tools, teaches ICC courses, supports entrepreneurs, fosters and builds robust community engagement programs, and hosts a variety of youth summer camps.

“Fab Lab ICC provides valuable resources to the ICC campus and surrounding community through access to fabrication tools, courses and engagement programming, and entrepreneurial support,” said Taylor Crawshaw, Vice President for Academic Affairs. “We are excited to provide an opportunity for the community to come and explore!”
