Dr. Mark L. Johnson to Speak on ‘Effectively Working in Teams’

Independence, KS--Independence Community College is pleased to welcome Dr. Mark L. Johnson to ICC West for a professional development workshop on February 16, 2022. The session will cover effective strategies while working in teams. The workshop will take place in the Woods Room from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and is free for all students, faculty, and staff.

For more than 35 years, Dr. Johnson has advocated for student achievement and success in and out of the classroom. He has served on five national boards of directors in career and technical education, including President of the Association for Career and Technical Education T& I Division and a member of the ACTE National Board of Directors. He is also a frequent presenter at state and national conferences. 

He has recently been contracted by the Entertainment Industry as a Training Consultant for the International Alliance of Theatrical Stagehands all over North America, having taught more than 1,000 industry trainers in more than 35 cities across the US and Canada.

He is the author of "Powerful Presentations that Connect," published by Kendall Hunt Publishing. He holds a black belt in Innovation Engineering, as well as ATD's Master Trainer Certification
