Mary-Lynn White, Oswego native and ICC sophomore, was awarded the Certificate of Merit from The Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. KCACTF awards a Certificate of Merit to outstanding students who have proven to be exceptional for their work on a particular production. White was recognized as the Stage Manager on ICC’s Fall Production of ENDGAME by Samuel Beckett. The production took place December 2-5, 2021.
“Working on Endgame was very challenging and rewarding,” said White. “From production meetings to rehearsal reports, there is a lot of work that a stage manager does that isn’t seen. I feel I grew quite a bit during the show, my schedule is a balancing act, but I wouldn’t change it for the world because the experience I gained from working on the show was invaluable.”
White is on a Theatre Performance scholarship, a student tutor, and an active member of the Student Government Association and Phi Theta Kappa.
“I believe the various opportunities I get while being a student at ICC are beneficial to my future,” concluded White. Whether it is working with a professional guest artist or helping be a voice for students in SGA, I am getting a look into what my professional career may be.”
