ICC Staff Selected for Recent Leadership Independence Class

Independence Community College congratulates David Adams, Kris Adams, and Brooke Joseph for recently being selected to the 2021-2022 Leadership Independence Class, a leadership program through the Independence Chamber of Commerce.

The objective of the program is to develop and equip feature leaders, to provide them with the skills necessary for solving issues facing the community, and to encourage networking with other class members.

“I’m excited to learn more about Independence, meet current and future leaders and form strong partnerships,” said D. Adams. “I’m also excited to work on the project associated with Leadership Independence.”

Leadership Independence was established in 1984. The program consists of eight sessions that occur monthly between September and April. Participants will then take part in a graduation celebration at the end. Each class will also take part in a Leadership project that will allow them to give back to the Independence Community.

“I am very excited to have the opportunity to experience and learn more about this amazing community,” said Joseph. “Self-improvement has always been important to me and through Leadership Independence I will be able to grow my leadership skills as well as elaborate on my own self strengths and leadership assets!”
