ICC holds ceremony for fall graduates

Independence, Kansas—December 13, 2017—Independence Community College (ICC) held commencement ceremonies for fall graduates on Tuesday, Dec 12 in the William Inge Theater.  Approximately 35 students donned their caps and gowns for the event.

ICC president, Dr. Dan Barwick presided over the ceremony, while members of the Board of Trustees congratulated the graduates with their diplomas.

“Commencement is an important part the college experience,” said Barwick. “All students who complete the required coursework have earned the right to walk across that stage and I am explicitly proud of each one of them for their success.”

The fall semester came to an end last Friday. The campus will be closed Dec 18 through Jan 2 for the winter break.

ICC is currently enrolling students for the Spring 2018 semester which begins on Jan 11.
