ICC winter concert rescheduled for Dec 11

Independence, Kansas—November 25, 2017— The Independence Community College (ICC) Music Department has rescheduled the Fall Winter Concert for 7PM on December 11 in the William Inge Theater on the college’s main campus.

The concert was originally scheduled for Dec 3, but with the college’s recent acceptance to play in the Midwest Classic Bowl Game on that same date, the decision was made to move the concert.

“This decision will give our students the opportunity to attend both events,” said Eric Rutherford, associate dean of fine arts and interim director for the Inge Center. “The bowl game is special and I would love for all of our students to have the chance to support the team.

The football game was announced earlier this week, with the date and time already established by the bowl’s committee

“Nothing is changing from the performance,” said Rutherford. “We will sing the same songs, just on a different day.”

The concert will offer a wide range of musical pieces, including Girl from Ipanema, traditional Christmas music, and non-holiday selections as well.

The concert is free and open to the public.
