Night of the Living Dead Live to open ICC theater season

Independence, Kansas—September 22, 2017—The Independence Community College (ICC) Theater Department presents Christopher Bond, Dale Boyer, and Trevor Martin’s Night of the Living Dead Live, based on the 1968 film by George A. Romero and John Russo, at 7pm on the evenings of October 6 & 7, with a 2pm show on October 8.

The Night of the Living Dead Live is a hilarious send-up of the 1968 cult-classic film, and appropriate for ages 12 and older. This killer comedy presents a condensed version of the original movie, then examines the various fates that befall the characters as alternative endings are explored.

The ensemble cast include: Jayden King; Emma Ingram; Tristan Carson; McGwire Lindquist; Tyler Ridgeway; Lena Blackert; Sang Le; Rosie Rosenberg; Shelby Fausnaught; Jessica Turner; Steven Franco; John Long; and Jackson Reinhart.

The director is Erick Wolfe; technical direction by Harty Blackert, with the technical crew of Levi Manners; Blade Smith; and Dusty Brownell.

Tickets are available at the box office and admission is $5 for students under 18, military, and seniors, $7 for adults, and free to ICC students, staff, and faculty.
