Taylor Crawshaw began her career at Independence Community College in August of 2014 and currently serves as the Vice President for Academic Affairs. In her current role, Taylor has the honor of working with faculty and academic support staff to increase student success in and out of the classroom, support individual faculty pedagogy, and work with industry partners to improve economic development.

Taylor graduated from Missouri State University in 2010 with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Child and Family Development. Her profession in community college education began at Coffeyville Community College as the Native American Leadership coach – recruiting Native American students and creating leadership and community service curriculum for those students. She graduated from Pittsburg State University in 2014 with a M.S. in Educational Leadership.  

Taylor is a graduate of Leadership Kansas Farm Bureau, has served on the Wilson County Farm Bureau Board of Directors as President and Vice-President. In 2021, Taylor was appointed to serve on the Kansas Farm Bureau State Committee for Young Farmers and Ranchers. Taylor also serves on the Altoona Public Library Board.
