Federal Grants
Applying for Student Financial Aid
- Students apply for student financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at https://fafsa.ed.gov/
- The application is processed and a Student Aid Report is sent to the applicant by email or mail.
- Students selected for verification by the Dep't. of Education must complete the verification process powered by the Inceptia Verification Gateway
- If a student has enrolled in or attended any other institution(s) they must request official college transcripts be submitted to the Registrar's Office at ICC.
- Students have the right to information about award amounts and procedures to receive their awards, and are responsible for providing necessary documentation and making corrections supporting the validity and accuracy of their SAR’s.
- Students must access their online financial aid account at https://selfservice.indycc.edu/netpartnerstudent/
Federal Pell Grants
Pell Grants are federal grants for students who demonstrate financial need. Students apply by sending a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov Payments are made each semester to pay for tuition, fees, books, transportation, housing, food, clothing, and other educationally-related expenses, if the student qualifies.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants
The Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant Program (FSEOG) at ICC provides awards for eligible students in amounts ranging from $150 to $800 per year. Students who complete the FAFSA and enroll at ICC are automatically considered for FSEOG grants. Awards are made each semester if the student qualifies. FSEOG grants are need-based grants.
