Molnar Selected for Featured Summer Residency

In partnership with their Foundation, Lansing Community College is welcoming back alumni Paul Molnar for a Featured Summer Residency. As a newly tenured faculty at ICC, Molnar is honored to return to LCC, where he attended from 1991 to 1993, to share the journey that started in Lansing and landed him here to his new home with us in Independence, Kansas.

Molnar will be participating in numerous events on and off-campus. He will be choreographing the fights, serving as a styles coach, and playing CAPULET in a summer production of Romeo & Juliet. He will also participate in public events during his six-week stay in Lansing. He has been asked to do a couple of podcasts, some interviews with local media, and appear at Foundation events to help advocate for community colleges and how they can change a life. Paul is looking forward to sharing all the exciting things ICC is developing and will be a strong advocate for SEK.

The summer program that Paul is returning to participate in has been in place and running strong for more than 35 years. There are aspects of this program that Paul hopes to bring back to ICC and share with the community and students.

“A community college changed my life and set me on the path that has landed me where I am today,” said Molnar. “I am so proud to be a Pirate and to be a positive change in the life of the students that I have in my classroom. I am thrilled to be representing Independence Community College this summer in Michigan.”
