About Home Health Aide
The Home Health Aide program at Independence Community College prepares students to provide compassionate, hands-on care for clients in their homes or residential settings. Designed for those who want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others, this short-term training program equips students with the essential skills to assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, maintain a safe and clean environment, and support client independence and well-being.
Why ICC?
Students receive instruction in personal care, infection control, communication, and basic health-related tasks, with a focus on the unique needs of elderly, disabled, or chronically ill individuals. Upon successful completion, students are eligible for state certification and entry-level employment in the growing field of home health care.
