About Pre-Nursing

The Pre-Nursing program at Independence Community College is designed for students who plan to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and enter the field of professional nursing. This curriculum provides a strong foundation in general education and the sciences including anatomy, physiology, chemistry, and microbiology, along with essential skills in communication, psychology, and mathematics.

Because nursing program requirements can vary by institution, students are strongly encouraged to consult the catalog of the college or university to which they plan to transfer to ensure all credits will be accepted. ICC’s Pre-Nursing pathway equips students with the coursework and academic readiness needed for successful transition into competitive BSN programs across the region.
