Male student holding trophiesCommunications professionals play an important role in the information economy. News media, business marketing, and entertainment are just a few of the industries that offer career opportunities in this field.  

Female student holding trophiesThis program is designed for students interested in any of the following areas: Broadcasting and Radio, Journalism, Speech Communication or Speech Education. Students may take electives in their area of concentration and should consult the course description area of the catalog for specific coursework in the communication field. Students would also be advised to consult the catalog of the college to which they plan to transfer to make certain that they are meeting basic requirements.

Students may take electives in their area of concentration and should consult the course description area of the catalog for specific coursework in the communication field.  The program prepares students for entry-level positions in the industry as well as providing a sound foundation for continuing their studies at a four-year college or university.

An ICC degree in Communications easily transfers and students wanting to continue their educations should seek advising from the Communications Department.
