Independence Community College (ICC) is proud to announce Elle Warren as the April Student of the Month, recognizing her dedication, leadership, and continued contributions across campus.

A sophomore education major, Warren will graduate in May and plans to transfer to a four-year institution to continue her studies. During her time at ICC, she has made a meaningful impact through her involvement in multiple areas, demonstrating both academic commitment and a strong willingness to serve others.

Warren is known for her involvement across campus, assisting in a variety of roles and consistently stepping up where needed. From supporting the marketing department with photography to managing responsibilities with the cheer team and volunteering with TRIO, she has become a familiar and reliable presence throughout the college community.

“Elle Warren is a campus helper across multiple offices,” said nominator Amy Loskota, Director of Student Support Services. “She is always working hard to help out ICC, whether it's taking photos for the marketing department, supporting the Pirate Pantry Food and Hygiene Bank, managing the cheer team, or balancing her off-campus job. She’s been my top helper for Pirate Pantry deliveries, helping move hundreds of pounds of supplies each month, and still manages to maintain a strong GPA. She also encourages other students to get involved and attend campus events, helping create a more connected and engaged student community.”

"Elle is a student whose influence will continue to be felt on campus after she graduates," said David Adams, Vice President of Student Affairs and Operations. “Her willingness to serve, lead, and support others truly reflects the spirit of Independence Community College.”

For Warren, the recognition is a reflection of the community she has grown alongside during her time at ICC.

“Being part of ICC has given me so many opportunities to get involved and grow,” Warren said. “I’ve loved being able to help in different areas and be part of a community that supports each other. It’s been really rewarding to connect with other students and help them feel welcomed and supported.”

Her efforts reflect the spirit of ICC students—engaged, supportive, and committed to making a difference both inside and outside the classroom.

Independence Community College is proud to recognize Elle Warren for her hard work and contributions and looks forward to seeing all she accomplishes in the future.
