It's a Great Day to Be a Pirate!
On behalf of the faculty and staff at Independence Community College it is my pleasure to say welcome. Every day is a great day to be a Pirate, and I invite you to join our vibrant campus community. It is an exciting time to be a Pirate as we approach our 100th anniversary. Whether you are a current or prospective student, I invite you to discover what it means to be a Pirate and explore our vibrant campus community.
ICC offers a wide variety of outstanding academic programs while promoting cultural enrichment and economic development in our surrounding communities. Through our programs, we are committed and qualified to provide an academic experience that prepares students with the practical skills and knowledge to lead in the global 21st century workforce.
ICC is the preferred institution for students from all over Kansas and the nation. I am especially proud of ICC's affordability, as the College has the lowest tuition costs in the state and the highest success rate among transfer students. Our dedicated faculty and staff are “student first,” meaning we work as a team to assist students in achieving educational success in pursuit of their career.
I encourage you to take advantage of all that ICC has to offer. Explore the arts in our premier fine arts facility. Take advantage of our expanded online courses and programs. Visit our MIT-chartered Fab Lab ICC to further enhance your entrepreneurial pursuits. Tryout for one of our championship-winning athletic teams, or our new esports team launching Fall 2021. I am especially proud to invite our U.S. veteran and active-duty service members to check out our recently launched Veterans Services Center.
As a Pirate, you are more than a student to our faculty and staff, you are a member of our family. I invite you to join the Pirate family by taking a tour of our beautiful campus and apply to be a Pirate today. See you soon at ICC!
