ATTENTION UB Students
All Upward Bound Students are required
to maintain a B or higher in all of their core subjects. We
check grades every 9 weeks to verify and determine stipend
amounts. If grades are C or below in core subjects, you are
required to attend tutoring that will be set up by Upward
Bound (if your school has a before/after school tutoring
program we will use this, if not, we will pay for a tutor to
assist you until your grade improves.) If grades continue to
decline, you may be placed on academic probation or exited
from the program.
If you are struggling in a core
subject, you may contact us to
set up tutoring for you. We always
commend students for being pro-active! |

students are required to attend school site visits and
Saturday Seminars. Only school functions and
activities are considered excused absences.
You must notify staff prior to seminar!

are only allowed 3 unexcused absences before being removed
from the program and $5 will be deducted from your stipend
for each unexcused absence. You may be dismissed after
3 unexcused absences.
*Students
must attend and stay for the entire visit or seminar
unless excused by UB staff.-Failure to do so will result in
forfeiture of stipend.
*Students
who do not attend a Saturday seminar and are excused will
need to complete an alternative assignment before they will
