Writers are the unseen creative force behind many a great movie or play, as is the case of the William Inge Theatre Festival’s 2017 Honoree, Beth Henley.
So the community can get to know the writer’s work, the William Inge Theatre Festival will conduct it second annual free movie series, featuring films by Beth Henley. There is no admission charge, thanks to local sponsors.
Three films will run on Sundays at 1p.m. at the Independence Cinemas.
The first film by Beth Henley screens Sunday March 12. Nobody's Fool is a 1986 romantic comedy starring Rosanna Arquette, with Mare Winningham. The lead character of Cassie (Arquette) seeks love and escape from her mundane life.
