ICC to hold open auditions for Les Miserables November 4

Independence, Kansas –Monday, October 16, 2017 –Independence Community College Theater Department will hold the 2nd round open auditions for the spring production of Les Misérables, Saturday November 4th from 9am to 2pm at the William Inge Theatre located on the Independence Community College campus.

Those wishing to audition should have a resume and 16 bars of music prepared. The theater department will have music selections available for those who need it.

The Tony Award-winning musical that first ran on Broadway for 16 years is back moving audiences to tears all over again! The action begins in 1815 as Jean Valjean, a man condemned to 19 years of hard labor for stealing a loaf of bread to feed his family, finds only hatred and suspicion when he is released on parole.

The William Inge Center for the Arts at Independence Community College offers our Theatre Arts students a unique educational experience, where our students join an ensemble in which they learn, work, and grow together through a specialized system of training, as they earn a transferable Associate of Arts Degree in Theater. Our Fall theater season concludes December 6-8 with the romantic comedy “Almost, Maine.”
