faculty, students and staff of the Independence Community College.
Service requests from the community
patrons will also be honored, contingent with equipment/materials
availability, staff time, and with possible limitations.
Restrictions:
Equipment/materials will be checked
out only during Media Center hours. All scheduling of
equipment/materials will be done through the Media Center staff
only.
Schedule dates will not be changed
except through cancellation between the borrower and the Media
Center staff directly.
BORROWERS ARE NOT TO
PASS EQUIPMENT/MATERIALS ON TO OTHER BORROWERS OR STUDENTS.
Equipment/materials will not be
checked-out to be kept in any area except for overhead projectors
used daily in the classroom. Otherwise, when equipment/materials are
needed extensively, a schedule of needs by date must be given to the
Media Center supervisor at the beginning of the semester to insure
fair and efficient scheduling by the Media Center supervisor.
All equipment/materials must be
returned to the Media center by 8:50 p.m. daily. Should a special
occasion necessitate equipment/materials remaining out of the Media
Center past hours, permission should be requested from the Media
Center Supervisor. Once approved, that person/department will assume
responsibility against damage, theft, etc., and for the return on
all borrowed items to the Media Center.
Equipment/materials are not to be
taken off campus except for purposes such as speaking engagements,
etc., of ICC personnel only, and only when approved by the Media

filed in the Media Center before equipment/materials are removed
from campus, once approved.

desk when requesting assistance or material unless permission is
otherwise given by Media Center personnel.

Equipment:
When equipment/materials are to be

equipment/materials on the "Schedule Calendar" (located on top of

it to the assigned room is time consuming for the instructors and
cuts down on their class time.

If you need blank audiocassettes or
blank videocassettes these may be purchased through the Bookstore.
Transparencies will be made in the Media Center upon request.
Materials:
For use during your classroom
instruction, videocassettes and other resource materials may be

videos for make-up assignments or extra credit to be viewed in the
Media Center only.
Resource brochures and catalogs are
filed in the Media Center and part-time instructors are invited to
recommend purchases of videocassettes, etc., which will aid in class
instruction. The Media Center supervisor makes the final selection.
Please feel welcome to drop in, browse or just get acquainted. Your
suggestions and ideas towards the Media Center services are both
welcome and appreciated. |
