"Independence Community College (ICC) has been serving the International population for over three decades. Each year we have a variety of students from around the world. We enjoy the diversity of experience this provides for our American students as well as the students from different countries having a chance to meet and form relationships with each other.
Students who come here have the opportunity to study in a small classroom setting. The professors are very accessible to students and enjoy the opportunities and challenges of teaching students from a variety of cultures.
At ICC our students have opportunities to get involved at a level not possible on larger campuses. Many of our students have been involved in writing articles for the college newspaper, "The Buccaneer", acting in and directing plays, singing in choir + Trends, and playing in the Bluenote band. Being active in student organizations like Phi Theta Kappa, Student Senate, and even Home Coming Queen."
