Part-time Pirate Cove Academy Teacher
Independence Community College (ICC) seeks applications for the position of
Childcare Teacher. Independence Community College, a small, rural,
residential community college in southeast Kansas, serving the needs of
full/part-time students and student athletes, has initiated continuous quality
improvement through the AQIP accreditation process.
Position Summary
The Full-time Pirate Cove teacher manages and facilitates all childcare
activities within the appointed unit, in which he or she is assigned. The
teacher gathers data and paperwork, providing accurate information; and works
with the Daycare Director to ensure site compliance with state and federal
childcare guidelines and college policies and procedures; collaborates with the
Early Childhood Education instructor to plan and conduct meaningful teaching
experiences for the children.

Job Description
The part-time Childcare Teacher is a
twelve-month position and supervises and facilitates childcare activities
within the unit in which he or she is assigned.
Childcare classes include toddlers, two-and-a-half years and school age
children. This position reports to
and works with the Lead Teacher for the success of the unit.
The Pirate Cove Academy Day Care is under the leadership of the Child
Care Director.
