Mission Statement  

Independence Community College Student Ambassadors are a unique group of individuals with diverse activities.  It is our mission to provide a positive image of ICC and leadership to prospective students and their families, current students, high schools, and the community.  Coordinated through the Office of Admissions, we help with numerous recruitment activities and promote ICC at all times.

Ambassadors Job Description

 

Purpose-

To promote Independence Community College and higher education in a positive manner to prospective students and their families, current students, faculty, staff, and the community.

·         Administer campus tours to visiting prospective students and their families.

 

bullet

·         Work in the Admissions Office during scheduled times—four hours a week are required plus any outside group activities.

 

bullet

·         Assist the Admissions Office with Enrollment Clinics, Orientation, Senior Day and Move-In.

 

bullet

·         Assist the Admissions Office with ICC’s College Planning Conference.

 

bullet

·         Attend all Student Ambassadors meeting and training sessions.

 

bullet

·         Become knowledgeable about ICC and the community of Independence.

 

bullet

·         Assist the Admissions Office with mail outs, data entry, and filing.

 

bullet

·         Portray ICC in a positive and professional manner at all times.

 

bullet

·         Participate in all activities planned by the Student Ambassador group.

     Serve as an official host for ICC.

Tierra Tiller- Business Administration- ICC has a friendly atmosphere, and my best friends attend here. Topeka, KS

 


Cassidy Curt- General Studies- ICC is close to home and cheap. Neodesha, KS

 


Mason Froebe- Marketing- I chose ICC because my dad and my uncle both went here. Neodesha, KS

 


Sarah Snyder- Communications- I choose ICC because it was close to home.

 


Stephanie McDiarmid- Pre-Nursing- I chose ICC because it is close to home and a lot of my friends are attending. Independence, KS

 


Jennifer Neth- Pre-Nursing- I chose ICC because it is close to home, and I like the atmosphere. Everybody is friendly here. Moline, KS

 


Shanese Bowers- International Business- My best friend came here, and it is cheap. Topeka, KS

 


Casey Osburn- Communications- ICC is close to home, and I really like the atmosphere. Neodesha, KS
