On February 16, 2005, Gary Smith received a prestigious position. Smith was chosen to write sports articles for ­The Caribbean Net News.  It is the second largest online Caribbean news network.

“I feel elated about getting this position", Smith says.  I really gave most of my credits to my “Girl Friend and Best Friend” Suzanne Chevere who is the love of my life for pushing me even when my work got in the way with our relationship

Smith also a Communications major will get more exposure in the Caribbean and on the International Circuit. The experience will be much needed for Smith who plans to be a major sports writer in the future.  Smith is also a staff member of the Buccaneer.

Smith’s influences came from working with the Buccaneer team. If you have read the front page of the Buccaneer, you will read an impressive article written by Smith.
